Production on the previous three films, and on “New Moon” and “Eclipse” in particular, was often interrupted by noisy fans who’d get on the set without clearance in the hope they might meet their idols.
Now, Twi-hards (or at least one of them, a very lucky and rich one) have the chance to get on the set of the upcoming “Twilight” film, “Breaking Dawn” part 1, legally.
A set pass for “Breaking Dawn,” which goes into production really soon, is up for auction on eBay, with the proceeds going to charity,
E! Online reports.
The starting bid is of only $100, which shouldn’t stop fans from placing their own bid. Of course, the pass doesn’t guarantee a meet and greet with any of the stars involved in the franchise.
“A set visit to Breaking Dawn is up for auction in eBay starting today at 4 p.m. PST. Proceeds benefit Stand Up to Cancer, the organization that works to speed up the research and approval of cancer treatments,” E! reports.
“We can’t guarantee you’ll actually hang with R.Pattz & K.Stew, but the package includes travel accommodations to the Vancouver set. And how much for the opening bid? Just $100!” the same e-zine says.
As per E!, if vampires and their (still) mortal girlfriends, and wolves are
not your cup of tea, other offers include a pass for a meet and greet with Bono and The Edge at the opening of Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark musical on Broadway.
“A set visit to the set of the new Spidey movie starring Andrew Garfield is another option,” E! further notes.
In other “Twilight”-related news, the first film made after the first half of the original novel by Stephenie Meyer goes into production this fall, which already has sparked some talk about how certain events will be presented on camera.
As we
also reported, two scenes in particular are most intriguing for fans who’ve read the original books, namely the birth scene and the one immediately after it, namely when Bella is dying her mortal death and is reborn as a vampire.
According to screenwriter Melissa Rosenberg, nothing of importance will be left out in the movie, which means she can
promise these two scenes will be as “intense” and “gruesome” as they are in the book.
“I don’t think it’s about the amount of blood you show. It’s about the intensity of it. It’s on their faces. It’s all from Bella’s point of view when you’re seeing what’s going. It should feel visceral. I think it’s going to be pretty intense,” Rosenberg explained a short while ago.
