Pretty much everything you might want from such a product

Although most manufacturers of GPS tracking solutions market their products as ideal solutions for geo tagging, fleet management, etc., the truth of the matter is that most people who actually do purchase such products do so in order to spy on somebody, either their spouses or their family. And the Visiontac VGPS-900 GPS tracker provides a very interesting extra-feature (compared to other similar devices), since it also sports a built-in voice recorder.

The GPS tracker from Visiontac can record almost all available GPS parameters, such as date, time, latitude, longitude, altitude, speed, heading, fix mode, PDOP, HDOP, VDOP. Moreover, the Voice-Tag function with built-in microphone allows adding live voice tags to any waypoint, and the device also sports a SPY mode that allows continuous standby logging up to 30 days.

We've seen what the main functions/features the VGPS-900 can offer are; now it’s time to take a look at the technology that makes all of them possible. Thus, the device has been equipped with a 51-channel MTK chipset with enhanced positioning system technology, which provides a positioning accuracy of up to 1.5 meters (with DGPS Support), due to its high level of sensitivity (-159 dBm).

Additionally, the device has also been equipped with a Bluetooth module, which is completely compatible with the Bluetooth Serial Port Profile (SPP). Furthermore, the VGPS-900 is powered by a built-in high-capacity battery, which works for up to 24 hours in a row.

The device doesn't provide any internal storage, but instead relies on a MicroSD Slot with support for memory cards with up to 2GB capacity for this function. And although 2GB doesn't seem much, it's more than enough for the VGPS-900, since this amount of memory can store about 25,000,000 waypoints, including longitude, latitude, altitude, date, time, speed, distance, heading, fix mode, PDOP, HDOP, VDOP and voice, more than 2 years).

The Visiontac VGPS-900 sells for an estimate 110 US dollars, which is not exactly that high a price, especially if we were to take into consideration all the features it provides.

We are just a few, but there are many of you, Softpedia users, out there.
