EA is extremely confident in the Visceral Games team, as it has just unveiled that the California-based studio is working four new games, besides the upcoming Dead Space 2, which will hit at the beginning of next year.

A few days ago, Visceral executive Zach Mumbach admitted that the studio isn't working on a sequel to another of its titles, Dante's Inferno.

Instead, according to EA exec Nick Earl, the team is working on four other projects, and collaborating with other EA studios from all around the world.

"We've gone to this collaborative model, all under the umbrella brand of Visceral," Earl explained.

"Each of the franchises we have in development, from Dead Space 2, which is close to final, to some IP that are literally in ideation... has a distinct team, and that team is spread across three or four studios. We're not outsourcing or insourcing - we really look at it as collaborative development, where everyone is on equal playing ground."

As you can imagine, Dead Space remains the studio's main franchise, and the company even admitted that it would like to work on a third game, if the fans want it.

Besides the futuristic survival horror title, Visceral is also confirmed to be working on a game based on 19th century serial killer Jack the Ripper.

The other projects are still unknown though, but Visceral will be working with studios like EA Los Angeles, EA Montreal, EA Shanghai, and even the company's new studio in Melbourne, Australia.

This new found fate in Visceral from EA stems from the fans the company earned with both the original Dead Space and Dante's Inferno.

"We believe - and we have a lot of data on this - that there's tremendous admiration and like for the Visceral brand," says Earl. "We're leaning in to the fact that there's such momentum with this brand, and we have a lot of faith in Dead Space 2."

Are you excited about the new projects coming from Visceral or is the studio spreading its resources a bit too thin?
