Visa seems to believe that there is still plenty of room for improvement when it comes to its mobile banking, so, by partnering up with Google's Android OS, it is hoping to make you feel even more secure using their mobile transactioning system. As a result, now all Android operated devices are to be functional using Visa's advanced mobile payment application.

The two major companies seized this opportunity in order to offer their users some new useful mobile banking related applications. At first, Visa will allow any of its Chase Visa credit and debit cardholders free unlimited access to their transaction reports and accounts and, most importantly, using Google's mapping system, the aforementioned users will receive information regarding Visa accepted ATMs or relevant Visa merchants. This offer has been said to be implemented only for a limited amount of time, till clients actually realize what the system is offering.

Tim Attinger, head of Global Product Innovation at Visa Inc, stated, regarding this new collaboration, that "Visa is thrilled to make these applications available to mobile users and offer the first commercial service in the U.S. that bundles offers, transaction alerts and a locator service into one easy-to-use application[...]Combining technologies from innovative companies like Visa, Google, and other members of the Open Handset Alliance delivers consumers convenience and value in their everyday mobile lives."

Using the Android capabilities, the Visa credit holders will also receive all sorts of offers and deals from all the so far 14 companies implicated in this new service, such as Bonefish Grill, eBags.com, eMusic.com and so on. On top of all this, other applications have been included in the service, applications meant to protect the Visa accounts of the users and, most importantly, offer them extra confidence in the service they’re using.

In translation, by employing the Android OS, users will receive valuable data regarding preprogrammed transaction information, such as transaction size or currency withdrawal and mostly any kind of information they would like to be aware of at all times. Furthermore, such data is available at exactly the moment that the transaction is processed by one of the computers from a Visa branch, therefore the information reaches users just a few moments later.

Rob Rosenblatt, general manager, Chase Card Services, gave tone to Attinger's statement by mentioning other advantages such a service includes. "The mobile channel represents an exciting opportunity for Chase to deliver added value, services and information to our card holders[...]Chase is delighted to serve as Visa's initial launch partner delivering these capabilities via Android and the T-Mobile G1 phone."
