Big corporations really don't know when to stop, don't they? They complain so much about so-called liberals and socialists picking on them, yet they make it so easy. The latest example is the ban they placed on the Discovery Channel, from airing an episode of MythBusters that dealt with RFID chips.

Hosts Jamie Hyneman and Adam Savage were to carry out a show where they would look at the security lapses of RFID chips installed in credit/debit cards and other appliances. They were also to test and see how hackable the devices actually are.

This is a matter of public interest, since these chips are now omnipresent, in everything from cards and products we pick up at the store to cars and even some people's skin. As such, if the technology itself was very flawed and prone to identify theft, you'd like to know, right?

Well, check the video above to see how some of the world's leading card companies reacted when they learned about what the MythBusters were trying to do.
