Oracle announced a few minutes ago, March 15, that a new stable version (4.2.10) of its VirtualBox virtualization software for end users and enterprises is now available for download.

It looks like VirtualBox 4.2.10 is a minor update, bringing just a handful of fixes and improvements. For starters, it brings initial compilation support for Linux kernel 3.9 RC0, with both Linux hosts and guests.

Moreover, VirtualBox 4.2.10 fixes a keyboard issue with the XQuartz X server, as well as a crash generated by certain conditions, such as after a wakeup from host hibernate, and two warnings in the shared folders for the guest Linux kernel module.

More details about the Oracle VirtualBox 4.2.10 release can be found in the official changelog.
