Virtual Villagers: The Lost Children Walkthrough and Tips

The island of Isola is again in the centre of attention. Two of our little buddies from the previous Virtual Villagers game wondered off into the unknown through the mysterious cave on their side of the island. Turns out another group of people made their home further away. The rediscovering process starts all over again along with your efforts of teaching them how to survive.

The basic needs are pretty much the same: food, health, housing and research. However, several exciting actions were added in addition to the 16 new puzzles. Not all of them will prove extremely useful, but everything is fun nevertheless. If you're interested in seeing for yourselves what's changed in Virtual Villagers: The Lost Children, you can download the trial version here.

There are a few things that you should know before getting started with your tribe. My personal favorite new feature is the Collections. You can have the kids gather all sort of curious items found at times across the island. At first you'll only get butterflies (pretty much everywhere on the island) and shells (on the beach). As you solve a couple of puzzles, your collections will also contain pebbles, beetles and later on some mysterious pieces of an ancient artifact. The great thing about it is that by gathering all these items your children can actually give your scientists some help. Common items count as 100 research points, while the rare ones contribute with up to 1500 points. This way you'll be able to purchase additional levels much faster. So be sure to have a kid or two wonder around the island just in case something interesting turns up (of course they can also collect the mushrooms to give your food supplies a small boost).

Food is always a little scarce on a remote island so your villagers can learn (at some point) that they can make a delicious stew that will last for some while and it doesn't "cost" so much. Besides, with the right recipe you can actually do wonders in getting your villagers in great shape again or even perform a few miracles. Nevertheless, keep in mind that food sources get exhausted in time and it takes a lot of research to get a steady source. My advice is that you don't extend your initial population too much before you are able to feed everybody.

Before you really get to "work" let me just give you a little inside info so you don't waste too much time and effort. First of all keep in mind that you will need 3 (three) master builders to complete one of the puzzles so make sure you put these chosen ones to work as soon as possible (not that you won't have a chance to get them adequately trained later, but that would be much, much later on). You will also need to train at least one village elder, that is get a villager to master three different skills. I'll let you in a little trick to get a villager's parenting skill up rather quickly. You can just drop him/her over a representative of the opposite sex without allowing them to reach the intimate beach house at all. You'll see the parenting skill going right up. Of course, this still takes time and you will be required to do a lot of clicking, but at least you'll get a master parent in about half an hour rather than days. It works even better if the female you've selected is beyond her 50s so she doesn't get pregnant. Another useful tip would be to use the research points to "buy" the Technologies in the exact ascending order of their cost. Level 3 Medicine won't help your villagers avoid dying of starvation because you failed to research level 2 Farming. Clicking on the mask on the main game screen offers different tips, but if you still experience trouble with the puzzles (or you're just curious to know what more needs to happen) feel free to look over following solutions.

Puzzle 1: The Fire
Fire keeps
your villagers warm (and the kids busy watching it) and is a must have for the cooking activity. All you need to do is have one villager gather some firewood (from the big pile of wood in the left lower corner of the island, on the beach) and some dry grass (the pile of dry grass next to a strange flower in the left upper corner). Than just drop him over the fireplace and he'll know what to do. Remember the fire only lasts 9 hours so have one villager gather more of any of the two resources from time to time.

Puzzle 2: The Dam
Farming goes hand in hand with building sometimes. This is one of those times. After you've researched level 2 Engineering you can drag a builder over the rocks in the lower part of the stream to get him/her starting on building a dam. This way you'll irrigate the fertile soil so it can serve as a farm and also uncover a mysterious ancient place (where the kids can spot lovely pebbles).

Puzzle 3: The Scarecrow
After you've helped your villagers set up the farm, the native birds make a habit out of eating all the seeds. Since they seem to get easily scared the second a villager comes near them, there is surely a way to trick them into thinking there's always someone there. Drag an adept or master farmer to the vines next to the sacred area so he can gather some straw. It will take two roads to the vines, so make sure you get the scarecrow right.

Puzzle 4: Sharp Cutting Tools
After purchasing level 2 of Exploration Tech you can drag a master scientist to the north side of the island, right between the area of the dead and the vines so he can make a break through discovery. You'll be on the lookout for something sparkling that resembles iron and that will be used for the tip of the spears. He'll also need some wood to complete the tools. Take him to the vines and wood just near the place where you found the metal. These tools will be used to cut off the unnecessary wild vegetation on the island and even fish more efficiently.

Puzzle 5: Herb Mastery
Just like in Virtual Villagers: A New Home, one of the puzzles refers to the abundance of strange plants on the island. There are six plants to be mastered: right above the waterfall there is a dark plant, beneath the dam there's a reddish flower, another orange-red flower to the left of the mosaic, another red flower to the north - on the beach next to the very dry grass, a blue flower to the right of the thorny vines covering the entrance to the gong cave and a light blue flower just north of the graveyard. Each of these plants can be studied to enhance your villagers skill at healing and they are the main ingredients to your custom stews, so do remember them.

Puzzle 6: Village Elder Totem
I told you right from the beginning that you'll need to train a village elder. To do that he'll have to master 3 (three) different skills. Once again, keep in mind that you can easily get a master parent if you can spare about 20-30 minutes to drop him repeatedly on an opposite sex villager (without allowing them to reach the love hut). If your villager is a female, note that once they turn 50 they can't get pregnant anymore and your job will get a lot easier. A totem (that you can move anywhere on the map) will appear to commemorate their success.

Puzzle 7: The Golden Fish
After you've researched level 2 Farming Tech, if you continue fishing in the ocean, lots of green algae will appear. Don't worry, there's a quest for this, so you do need these algae popping up. Once you research level 3 Farming Tech take a few master farmers or master scientists to the pond and allow them to catch some golden algae eating fish to clear out the ocean. It will take o few trips, but after that, you'll have an endless supply of fish source.

Puzzle 8: The Ancient Markings
After fashioning the cutting tools in the fourth puzzle and purchasing level 3 Culture Tech, the strange vines covering the right side of the stream's wall can be removed. Have your builders do just that to learn the story of the gong pieces.

Puzzle 9: The Stew
Once you research level 2 Exploration Tech have an adult villager look for a black cauldron among the wood on the southern beach. He'll pick it up and take it to the fireplace. With the fire up and running, your villagers can now experiment with a lot of cool stew recipes. To do that, you need to drop one villager over the cauldron to start cooking the stew. Drop him again to add water to the stew. One more drop and he'll also add food. All that remains now is to add three herbs to the stew. Here is where you get to experiment. Each strange plant on the island has different effects. Some recipes will turn into delicious stews with benefic effects and some will turn out to be harmful.

If you combine the three red plants you'll give your villagers a boost of energy. The blue plants will clear their nose and throat. Three orange-red flowers give a very sweet smell; three blue flowers (near the thorny vines) make them jumpy; three red flowers (near the dam) give them a burst of energy, while three dark flowers (near the waterfall) are harmful. Add three mauve flowers (north of the graveyard) or three red flowers from the northern beach (next to the very dry grass) to give your villagers a boost of health. Just have them eat these special stews and watch their health go up. This is a wonderful way to keep your villagers in great shape and in the same time make some economy with the food supplies.

Puzzle 10: The Mosaic
If you were wondering about the ancient covered floor in the southeastern part of your village, now is the time to get it uncovered. First you'll need to research both level 3 Engineering Tech and level 3 Culture Tech. Once you've managed to do that, it all comes to your builders to uncover the site.

Puzzle 11: The Hospital
After you purchase both level 3 Engineering and level 3 Medicine a new foundation appears in the southern part of your island (just above the orange-red flower). Have your builders work on that and in a short while you'll be able to treat your sick villagers in your very own hospital.

Puzzle 12: The Sewing Hut
After you research both level 2 Culture Tech and level 2 Science Tech a new foundation appears next to the love hut. Put your builders to work on it and you'll get a very special sewing hut. Here you'll be able to buy different clothing for your villagers at the price of 5000 research points each (a little expensive, but once you've researched everything it will be a nice way to spend those points).

Puzzle 13: First piece of the Gong
There is a crate on the beach (just a little north of the love hut). To open it you'll need the strength of 3 (three) master builders. One more gong piece lays here.

Puzzle 14: Second Piece of the Gong
After uncovering the mosaic (puzzle 10) and getting a village elder totem (puzzle 6), just place the totem in the middle of the mosaic to uncover another piece of the gong.

Puzzle 15: Third Piece of the Gong
Once you've built the cutting tools (puzzle 4), you can drag your builders to work on clearing the thorny vines blocking the access to the gong encasement. It is advisable to use adept or master builders, as this is no easy task and a trainee may get it wrong lots of times. Once the thorns are clear you'll also notice a piece of the gong already in the encasement. The kids can find here a wide variety of colorful beetles.

Puzzle 16: Fourth Piece of the Gong
There is something sparkling in the pond (where the waterfall is) from the very beginning, but it was too deep for any of your villagers to be able to get it. If you've uncovered the ancient markings (puzzle 8) than you see pictures of some strange plants. All that is left for you to do is prepare a stew out of these (so you do need at least level 2 Exploration Tech to be able to complete this puzzle). Add one dark flower (by the waterfall) and two orange-red flowers (left of the mosaic) to get a special stew that will allow your villagers to breath underwater. A new piece of the gong has been revealed.

Comment #2.1 by: Nicki on 25 Jul 2008, 23:35 GMT

You have to have all three farming things in the tech part, then you take a master farmer and put him in the pond (where the waterfall is) and he will pull out algie eating fish and put them in the ocean, you have to make him do it a bunch of times. Then the algie will be gone.

i love this game!!!!!!!!!

Comment #7 by: lucy on 03 Oct 2008, 07:42 UTC reply to this comment

It will go away on it's own but it takes a while. If you want to rid it right away just go to change tribes, click on somebody else's tribe and then click again on your tribe.

If you're the only user of the game and there are no other tribes to switch to, you need to quit and come right back.

The first pot everybody runs to, after that, you mostly have to drag villagers (like if you want health meters to go up on individuals) otherwise villagers show up at random and eat from the pot.

Comment #7.1 by: Tristy on 28 Nov 2010, 05:43 GMT

Comment #13.3 by: Sean on 17 May 2009, 23:39 GMT

Ok well ive played this game and im at the farthest part ive ever been. The ocean has algae, what do i do? and i dont want to run out of food and my coconut trees are gettin low. i have like 1100 pieces of food right now. but i need to get the algae out of the ocean before everybody dies!!! HELP. and how can i make the stew from the cooking pot????

Comment #14.1 by: Pnutbutter on 10 Jul 2009, 01:05 GMT

get level 3 farming, then get the fish from the pond to the ocean (these special fish will eat the algae)

or you can get level 2 engineering then build the dam, once you finish building the dam plant crops.

For the cooking pot, drag a person to the pot, the person will move the pot nearer to the fire. Then drag the person to the pot once again for them to get water, after that collect herbs (also known as strange plants)

Comment #14.2 by: jess on 29 Apr 2010, 19:40 GMT

but where do you get the cooking pot from?!?!?!?!?

Comment #14.3 by: KrazyPanda24 on 02 Apr 2011, 18:48 GMT

the pot comes from level 2 exploration

Comment #14.4 by: Bestie212 on 04 Aug 2011, 17:47 GMT

It will appear in the pile of drift wood :):):)

Comment #15 by: Rachel on 20 Dec 2008, 07:10 UTC reply to this comment

You need to drag a Master Farmer to the roots to build a scarecrow. Not a builder.

Comment #15.1 by: Jess on 18 Apr 2010, 20:38 GMT

Actually, you don't need a master farmer just an adept.

Comment #16 by: Rachel on 20 Dec 2008, 07:12 UTC reply to this comment

You need to read all the comments. It's already been stated that you need to reach level 3 in the Farming Tech. I'd get as many people researching as possible if you need the points and have nothing to farm. Maybe keep one Master Farmer (or close to it) to farm. the rest researching.

As for the stew. just drag an adult villager to the pot. they will start preparing it. Then keep an eye on them as you have to drag them to 3 herbs then back on top the pot to get water then back again to get food.

Jami, You dont need the reed's for the kindling. if you go to the coconut tree's (north west of the village) behind it there is green stuff. Drop someone on it and they will gather grass as kindling for the fire.
Hope i was of help,
Mike

increase your engineering technology and build a dam. the dam will redirect water and allow you to build a farm. with an adept farmer you can build a scarecrow out of vines from the sacred area and protect your farm from crop eating birds

To climb and get coconuts you have to but farming level 2 and just drag your person over to the coconut tree's.

Soo i have this game on my ipod touch and ive had to restart like a million times because my food runs out. I fish until the algae comes and then i buy the coconuts and then they run out and then i build the dam and they farm and the first like 2 harvests i only have to wait like 30minutes but then it says i have to wait something rediculous like 800minutes or something. So ive tried to get everyone researching and it still fails! please help! cause im getting frustrated!

Comment #35.1 by: Jamie on 02 Oct 2009, 19:24 GMT

First of all did you have any babies? Only do this when you have to. Also make sure that someone is watering your crops at all times. That makes sure that it won't take like 800min or anything. Plus does anyone know what will happen when the graveyard gets filled up?

Comment #39 by: Jordy7717 on 13 Apr 2009, 07:01 UTC reply to this comment

DON'T BOTHER GETTING THE COCONUTS!!!
what i did was fish and then get enough tech points to buy the dam once the dam is built i used the ocean until it got algae, then i swittched to the crops (u have to make sure people are watering them so it doesnt take like 800 minutes) then get enough tech points to get the sustainable fishing which is about 90 000 DONT BOTHER GETTING THE COCONUTS then you will be fine the rest of the game (thats what i dd)

Comment #39.1 by: KrazyPanda24 on 02 Apr 2011, 19:01 GMT

uhhh that probly is ok but it all depens if u can get tech fast enough to get the dam and build it i highly reckamend that anyone who plays this should get the dam built before you go to sleep otherwiseyou will hve problems. the cocanuts are not that confusing its like when a villager doesnt want to research just but them on the tree again intil they climb up.

Comment #46.1 by: Darkvennes on 28 Apr 2009, 13:46 GMT

Have you researched your Level 2 Farming Tech? If done, then drag your villagers to the coconut tree and they should start to harvest the coconuts. If harvesting coconuts is unsuccessful, perhaps you have depleted the coconut resource and the only thing you can do is to research Level 2 Engineering Tech to enable your villagers to construct dam, thus enabling the construction of crops field.

Hope this will help you, Nicolo~~~

me too except she went fishing and came out with a baby

Comment #52.2 by: KeKe on 29 Jan 2011, 07:56 GMT

You can tell if someone is going to have a baby from the mating of two people before they actually go indoors. Just keep an eye on the population when you put the two together, and if it goes up, then you have a child (or two or three!) Then you can lift them both up to interrupt them and the woman will have the baby(s). They don't have to go indoors to have the child. If your trying to build your population, you can do this to interrupt unsuccessful or rather childless matings between your couples. That way you can get your population up faster and have more babies at once.

Comment #53.1 by: Laura on 31 May 2009, 12:30 GMT

You need to get a master farmer and drop them in the pond they collect the algea eating fish and bring them to the ocean, you will have to do it a few times before its all gone. If all your farmers are pregnant you can forward the time on your computer by an hour or two, so they wont be nursing anymore.

If anyone's having trouble with getting a village elder, aside from the advise given to get a master parent level, one can also reach a master doctor level by having them study a herb that they understand over and over again. It took me about an hour and a half to get a master doctor from nothing, it is a lot of clicking, but saves many hours in the long run.

Dudeeeeees...

If your running out of food, and ur peepz are dying, then get level two engineering....then drag a villager to the wet soil and they'll start building a damn...and you'll be able to farm and get more tech points to buy level three farming... then drag a villager to the pond again and again.....then you'll be able to fish in the sea again.

Don't bother mating older peepz... they won't be able to get a baby for a looonnngggg time, you need to mate ppl in their twenties and early thirties, then you'll be able to get a baby really quick.

1st piece of gong: Well, this is pretty obvious. You just need three master builders.

2nd piece of gong: I don't get this either

3rd piece of gong: Purchase Exploration Lev. 1. Then drag a master scientist onto the vines, and they'll start making the tools.
After a while, come back and they will have finished making the tools. Now drag a master builder onto the vines, and they will start clearing them.

4th piece of gong: Purchase Lev. 2 Exploration. Drag a villager where you usaully get the wood for your fire and they will have found a pot. Then Drag a villager three times onto it, then get the ingredients ( Dark flower by the waterfall, two orange flowers to the south) and then get a villager to drink it. Then put them in the waterfall and they'll get the gong piece.

Hope I helped :))~~~~~

BTW, Does anyone get Gong Piece #2???

Comment #71.1 by: Deanne on 29 Jul 2009, 05:40 GMT

I don't even play video games....EVER!...but I got addicted to this one when I bought it for my iPhone (for my son to play with) a couple weeks ago. I got the FREE lite version first to check it out and I got hooked! My son plays it on the PC so he had a few hints that helped a novice like myself. He was astonished when he learned I had purchased the full version (only $1.99) and he couldn't believe I had gotten further in the game then he had. The KEY to success is to read the walkthrough!!! All questions are answered there or do a google search for tips and stew recipes! Many different results occur w/ various stews. As for the second gong piece, I think you need to make a stew where the master scientist Eats it and doesn't have to breathe then take him to the pond and let him swim down to get it. He might have to jump in from the high rock I can't remember cuz that was awhile ago. Funny thing is, I've achieved all puzzles and only need 2 pebbles and 2 beetles to complete the game achievements....I have the max capacity of villagers (40)...and have not had anyone die other then old age, which all have lived into their 70's and one lived into early 80's! My graveyard is getting full ang I wonder what will happen at it's max capacity? It's funny, the only reason I've done so well is because I want to keep my little people alive!

Comment #72 by: Kaitlyn on 22 Jul 2009, 04:46 UTC reply to this comment

How do you build more huts after you have the first two done? I don't have the full version so i can only use tech points on science and food.

Comment #73 by: Faeden on 30 Jul 2009, 00:59 UTC reply to this comment

Tiana, I don't have that piece yet, but if you have level 3 culture and engineering, then your people should be able to dig up the "ancient Place". Then place a totem(possibly it has to be the first one?) in the middle, and you should get that piece. Kaitlyn, I think the other foundations appear after you have enough people. I got the 4th one at 31 people, so if you are not getting any more you may have to have something else researched. And, everyone, the walkthrouh is wrong, I always get babies before they get to the hut. So just have them teach or tell a story by dragging them to a child (under 14). Has anyone gotten triplets? I've had twins, but no triplets, and I have all the Medicine researched and the hospital built. Thanks!

Comment #75.1 by: Summer Nightly on 02 Sep 2010, 20:23 GMT

Persistence is key. I had the same problem, but if you just keep dragging them to the place you want them to be, they'll eventually get the picture. A villager tends to go do the task that it excels in.

Comment #76 by: Johnathan on 07 Aug 2009, 20:41 UTC reply to this comment

After purchasing level 2 of Exploration Tech you can drag a master scientist to the north side of the island, right between the area of the dead and the vines so he can make a break through discovery. You'll be on the lookout for something sparkling that resembles iron and that will be used for the tip of the spears. He'll also need some wood to complete the tools. Take him to the vines and wood just near the place where you found the metal. These tools will be used to cut off the unnecessary wild vegetation on the island and even fish more efficiently.

Let the children pick up the mushrooms until you can get your crops going and clear up the ocean of algae. The mushrooms are worth 6 food points. But you can get lucky sometimes and find one worth 35 food points. I did until purchased enough levels for more food sources.

this page helped me a lot

Comment #91 by: Nickz on 02 Nov 2009, 05:11 UTC reply to this comment

I would like to thank becoz this walkthrought helped a lot.
Well to all that have problems well it is by the way a STRATEGY GAME!!!
My Advice Creating a Tribe Make Many and give each different strategies..
And if some are having trouble with genders well pause the game if their ages are almost 45+ specially at night(when your sleepy) creat new babies always comes in 2 so if Ur lucky maybe a boy and a girl will come out... if both.. theres no harm doing it again. you might get both the unacquired gender ^^ ... its ok to have more than 1 wife/husband ^^ their savages anyways... T_T hahahah still Good Luck on your game... Dont get the lvl 2 farm quick so you dont have to get the algae make sure you got the damn or farm before proceeding...

1 more thing i hate the way they made the mating thing. i wish they developed some kinda love something or relationship... it could add more challenge and besides there times im doing many task that when dropping 1 gender to another WORKING gender they freaking mated... i was supposed to make the two work together now made a baby???..... carefull on droping them...

Comment #92 by: Gamingmast3r on 03 Nov 2009, 07:33 UTC reply to this comment

I put a guy villager on a girl villager and I stoped them before they got to the love house and the girl had a baby in her arms after I dragged her away.

Comment #92.1 by: Saz on 13 Apr 2010, 17:51 GMT

yeh this happens alot its just gunna hppenthe first few times u make them go in the love hut its bound to happen afer the first 3 i think u stop getting babies u cant do anything to stop it but i dint find a hint to make sure u get a baby heres what to do:
watch your population take noe of this number drag a boy and girl to make a baby if the number dosent change keep droping them and draging them on to each other untill the nu,ber goes up one and let them go in the love hut and voila a new adtion tol the tribe

My master scientist started to make the sharp tool then she stopped and now I can't find the tool to finish it what should I do please I can't find another sharp price of metal

Comment #93.1 by: Summer Nightly on 02 Sep 2010, 20:19 GMT

To make the sharp tool you have to get both the metal sharp stuff and the bendy wood (which can be found in the same area as the metal, just a little to the south. It looks like tree roots) Your villager first puts the metal by the lab place, and then once you drag him/her to the wood, she'll take it back to the lab place and then make the tool :)

If you are out of food & your DAM is not built yet, Pick up a kid & scower the island with him. Keeping your eyes peeled for mushrooms. You can also pick the odd coconut if you give them a little time to grow back. This WILL keep you going untill the dam is built. ALSO The mushrooms only pop up for a minuet or so, So jump on them fast before there gone.

Comment #99 by: kelly on 21 Nov 2009, 02:43 UTC reply to this comment

how does the game end? is there an actual ending like escaping off the island or something, or is the whole point of the game to keep the villagers alive?

also, what does the gong do? isnt there supposed to be something evil about it? thats what the writings on the wall said, right?

Comment #99.1 by: Me on 10 Jun 2010, 17:58 GMT

Yeah the gong does tow things; give food or something else good, and takes away from the village.

BE CAREFUL! every 3rd time you hit the gong your villagers will become sick!

Comment #114 by: Ruby on 20 Dec 2009, 21:38 UTC reply to this comment

Okay. So HELP FOR YOU ALL. I noticed nobody really has special events things posted here, so I encountered one recently that I will share!

My farmer was walking along the beach and she spotted a half-empty vial. It said to drink it or pour it out. I drank it, and she got better at engineering (in fact, she became a master builder, and I was finally able to build my scarecrow.)

Also, check your people's stats often. If they are selected in parenting and have their research column all blue, switch them to whatever they're best at. They can become masters in it even if they aren't specified for that particular job.

Also, to get the scarecrow, you have to put a master BUILDER on the roots to the left of the graveyard burial ground place, You have to put them there twice, or else your scarecrow will be unfinished.

Also, for the dam, you have to get level 2 engineering, then put an adult on the rocks south of the waterfall and they will start building.

Hope I helped :] And also, BEFORE YOU POST YOUR REPETITIVE QUESTIONS, READ ABOVE AND CHECK TO SEE IF IT ISN'T ALREADY ANSWERED 33420587950 TIMES.

Thanks!!

Comment #115 by: babygal on 21 Dec 2009, 01:55 UTC reply to this comment

if you have the housing at level two ( forget the real name) you can bulid a dam by the rocks in the stream and then use the flooded land for farming and as long as you dont have too much people, it should last you until you can get the algee gone. I suggest you dont increase your population past 15 untill you solve the algee problem because then your people might starve. I hope this helps you!

Comment #116 by: Ruby on 21 Dec 2009, 17:10 UTC reply to this comment

Okay, so on account of all my villagers dying, I restarted the game. I have also encountered more special events!

During one, one of my villagers stumbled upon a hole in the sand on the beach. The options were to explore or fill it up. I pressed explore and it said I had found some bronze tools and gave me 1000 tech points.

Another one, one of my villagers found a crystal ball and the kids wanted to play with it. The options were, let the kids have it or keep it for yourself. I let the kids have it, and it said they had lost track of it, and nothing ever happened with it.

Another one, my villagers opened a washed up box or bottle or something, and it said to open it or discard it. I opened it, and a crap load of fire ants poured out and my villager's health was then signifigantly depleted.

And the LAST one, one of my kids found a mirror, and it had asked her to pick two words to say out loud. I picked the first word on top, and a guy appeared in the mirror, and other than her being pretty scared and uncomfortable, her health was fine and nothing happened.

I'm not saying that you will have these same options or results, I'm just saying what my village has experienced.

Has anyone else experienced these special events???

Comment #116.1 by: mae on 24 Feb 2010, 17:19 GMT

my villages health went down cuz i incountered the red fire ants.....but nothing else and about the one 4 the crystal ball IF i incounter that should i keep it cuz u let the kids have it and they lost track of it????

Comment #116.3 by: chaza on 19 Jun 2011, 07:51 GMT

Comment #117 by: Ruby on 21 Dec 2009, 17:27 UTC reply to this comment

Veronica and Rhian:

When you get exploration lvl 2, there should be a shiny rock thing where you get firewood for the village fire. Send someone to explore and you should be able to pick it up and carry it to the fire. You'll need to SET IT before you can cook anything, and be sure to look up some recipies.

And Rhian:

That hapened to me several times. Usually when I restart the game it's back in the firewood pile.

Same with me. i don't know what we do next but I do know that when you ring the gong, every 3rd time, bad things happen, usually the health of amny villagers is taken, making them sick, so check all your villagers or they'll die!

Its hard thing to do- i had trouble at this point. Buy level 2 of building and then drag your villager next to the ground that needs to be fertilized on the narrow section of the stream
your villager will start to build a dam. This dam will bring water to the soil so your
farmer(s) can raise food for your villagers.

Comment #182.3 by: ....... on 17 Apr 2011, 06:49 GMT

It depends on what Medicine Level you are at and how many doctors you have. I have two people over the age of 60, and I have Medicine Level 2. The elderly man gets sickness more commonly than the elderly woman. If you Medicine Level 1, people 50 and above become elderly (if my memory is correct) and on Medicine Level 2, they become elderly when they become 55??

Comment #182.4 by: kupcakeluver on 14 Jul 2011, 21:02 GMT

around 60 if they are pretty healthy otherwise they can die around 40

Comment #212.1 by: KrazyPanda24 on 02 Apr 2011, 19:46 GMT

they dont need to go to the hut to have a child its really better for you so u can get the guy back to work but if u have one villager that is at least 50 no child will be made and their point both go up.

you need three master builders make another one fast before they die. If you dont have anything to build drag a villager onto a hut that causes them to fix it and they get experince

Comment #214.2 by: CaM on 04 Apr 2011, 03:15 GMT

accually you need three but you can also train them in research so you can use your tech points to buy a new building project

have the kids collecting when you hear a chime. when the mother is done nursing stop making kids till your stable enough to. that means everyone is old enough to work [14] but can still collect. then have more kids.

Comment #216 by: KrazyPanda24 on 02 Apr 2011, 19:39 UTC reply to this comment

Hey Everyone! Alot of people seem to have to be having troble with having only one sex or too old adults too few adults. Don't quit so soon. Let the game continue it is likely that you may get an event that could:
*give you children
*give you an adult
*reverse age one of your adults to a child
*clone your adult
*change apeance or gender
I've seen it happen to myself many times. Events though don't always happen and sometimes events are not good but when you have one sex or all old adults its better to open the mystry sack, drink the mystery bottle, go to the strange voices, or feed the mystry * person at the cost of alot of food. They same events that hurt you before can help you when you pick the same exact choice. *The mystery voice event read once that if you go into the forest the first time the event pops up you lose the villager, if you refuse to enter first the second time it appears you will get one. I tryed it and that did happen for me but, since their random its about 60 - 40 % chance in my book.*

One day I had 8 people, I went away for a while, then I got 2 more children. At first I thought they were twins from the same parent, but the parent that was nursing the baby was still nursing, so, I guess that was just an event!

Comment #235.1 by: Hunter-Leigh on 16 Jul 2011, 18:09 GMT

I just posted a comment about the same thing but didn't see yours. I just figured it out tho. I think it has something to do with time? Maybe you have a chance to get it once every twenty-four hours or somthin like ringing the gong. Or maybe exiting to the menu and back? I finally got a girl to get it all the way there after like a week of trying and dropping like ten people to pick it up. I watched her the whole time she walked because that was my last puzzle. I've never gotten this far before! I hope that helped you! Good luck!

If you want to raise your healing abilities, make a potion that makes the villagers sick and have your healer make them better. It's evil, but kind of fun :D

What is the top amount of villagers you can have for VV2 for the iPod? I only have 40 and there's nothing else to do but I thought it was supposed to be 90...

On Puzzle 9, I did have a villager look for the cauldron amongst the wood, but I cannot seem to find it! I did find it once but after a completed a different puzzle, the villager with the cauldron in his hands were gone! The villager was there "celebrating" but the cauldron seems to have vanished. I need some assistance please! Help, I am in desperate measures and I don't want to restart my tribe again.

Gahh I have this on my iPod, and I only start out with 3 adults and one teen. So how can I get 3 master builders while trying to have a scientist and get lots of food before the algae comes!? It's so hard to get tech points so I can't upgrade any of the tech things :( I keep restarting over and over because I have no tech points to save my villagers :( wahhh once I gave up and when I turned it on again all my villagers' bones were scattered on the floor :'( so sad

why do trained doctors allways want to do laundry? does that give them any type of skill level?

Comment #257.1 by: Celina on 02 Jan 2012, 07:38 GMT

Laundry is something your villagers do when they're bored. It does not give you tech points and skills. Feel free to disturb your villager when doing laundry, you have nothing to loose.

Please help! I have this on my iPod and I have my farm up and everytime my crops are done the birds eat all my food! I have the cutting tools and a master farmer, but everytime I put them on the vines it says the strange markings don't make sense. This has happened before and my villagers always die before I can get 90,000 tech points for the golden fish.
