Just as I finished writing about the treat Xbox 360 gamers are in for next week (meaning that they're getting Fatal Fury Special on Xbox Live Arcade), I came across this week's Virtual Console update, which concerns Nintendo's Wii users and loggers onto the Virtual Console. According to the official post, classic lovers are getting the SNES original Vegas Stakes and Bonk 3: Bonk's Big Adventure, released in 1993 for the Turbografx system.

The two games' descriptions can be found below, so you know what you're spending those Wii points on:

Vegas Stakes - Practice your poker face this week as Virtual Console takes you on a trip to Las Vegas in the 1993 Super Nintendo classic Vegas Stakes. Players get to enjoy the complete Vegas experience in this retro title, checking into a luxurious hotel where they can talk to friends and other guests before trying their hand at Blackjack, Slots, Roulette, Craps and Seven Card Stud. This game also includes a four player multiplayer mode where players compete for a $10 Million prize. Vegas Stakes is available now for 800 Wii Points.

Bonk 3: Bonk's Big Adventure - For a totally different experience, this week sees the 1993 Turbografx title Bonk 3: Bonk's Big Adventure making its way onto the Virtual Console. This quirky action game sees our hard-headed hero 'bonking' his way through seven colourful rounds based in the Dinosaur Kingdom. With eight hidden bonus stages to unlock and two-player multiplayer, this game will be a sure-fire hit. Bonk 3: Bonk's Big Adventure is available now for 600 Wii Points.

According to every source on the Internet, there are currently 128 classic titles already available for download up on the Wii's Virtual Console in Europe, so by all means, take your time choosing what to play this weekend. Have fun kids!
