Virtua Striker 2002 Secrets and Unlockables (GameCube)

The Virtua Striker video games are arcade-style soccer games by Sega. Originally developed by Sega-AM2, the series moved to Amusement Vision with Virtua Striker 3. The original Virtua Striker used Sega's Sega Model 2 hardware. The Virtua Striker 2 series run on Sega Model 3, with the exception of Virtua Striker 2 ver. 2000, which appeared on the Dreamcast-based NAOMI system. Virtua Striker 3 was released for the NAOMI 2; subsequent installments (Virtua Striker 2002 and Virtua Striker 4) use the GameCube-based Triforce hardware. The series has been ported to consoles on two occasions: Virtua Striker 2 for the Dreamcast (released in Japan as Virtua Striker 2 ver. 2000.1) and Virtua Striker 2002 for the Nintendo GameCube (Virtua Striker 3 ver. 2002 in Japan).



Unlockables

Cap and Glasses in Player Edit
After completing Road to International Cup with the team of your choice, go to edit player of the team you completed with. There will be extra options in 'Hair' and 'Others'.

Unlock Century Stadium
Play in Road to International Cup mode. When you get to the World Cup tournament in year 4, the stadium is unlocked after you win your first game at the World Cup.

Unlock FC Sonic
Play in ranking mode and accumulate 20 points. FC Sonic will challenge you. Beat them and they are unlocked and can now be used as a playable team.

Unlock Yukichan United
Play in ranking mode and accumulate 30 points. Yukichan united will challenge you. Beat them and they are unlocked and can now be used as a playable team.

Unlock Velvet Stadium
Play in Road to International Cup mode. When you get to the World Cup tournament in year 4, the stadium is unlocked after you win your last game (Finals) at the World Cup.

Unlockable Stadiums
Estadio Nou - Esperanza Stadium - Win the Semi-final in the International Cup

St. Road Stadium - Win the 2nd Round in the International Cup

Using a Cat Player
After doing the Cap and Glasses Trick, go to the name of the player and type 'CAT'. Go back to 'Face' options and you will see your player in cat face.

Using Santa as a player
After doing the Cap and Glasses Trick, go to the name of the player and type 'SANTACLAUS'. Go back to 'Face' options and you will see your player in Santa face.

Secrets

Super Shot
This is not mentioned in the guide - but if you hold X and charge your shot fully and just before your kicker kicks the ball press X once more and you will get a low powerful shot - you know if it works because your powerbar will go ORANGE ... handy at close range.
