Canadian mobile phone users will soon be able to purchase new BlackBerry handsets on the airwaves of their wireless carriers, and Virgin Mobile has just confirmed that they will be ranging the just unveiled Curve 9360 smartphone.

The handset was unveiled to the world today with the BlackBerry 7 OS on board, when Research In Motion announced that it should be launched on the market in the near future.

To be more precise, the company said that wireless carriers in Canada will be ranging the smartphone before the end of August, while operators in other markets will launch it at a later date.

Of all wireless services providers in Canada, Virgin Mobile was the only one to have already confirmed plans to launch the handset on its airwaves.

“phone news! we'll be serving up the new blackberry curve 9360 smartphone. price and launch date coming soon,” the company announced via Twitter.

Provided that the mobile phone is set to hit Virgin Mobile's network in August, the official announcement should emerge soon, with all of the necessary details on pricing and the like.

Until then, we can only assume that the new BlackBerry Curve 9360 will be an affordable handset at Virgin Mobile, as there is no reason for it not to be, especially since RIM announced that it should prove a great option for those looking to upgrade without breaking the bank.

The BlackBerry Curve 9360 should offer a faster application processor, than its predecessors, a 5MP camera on the back, with support for video recording, WiFi and Bluetooth capabilities, GPS receiver, and a QWERTY keyboard for fast and easy typing.

Moreover, we should note that the phone runs under RIM's BlackBerry 7 operating system, which was loaded on all of the latest handsets from the company, and which sports a great deal of advanced features for all users.
