Virgin Mobile is yet another wireless carrier in the United States interested in the launch of Apple’s iPhone 5 on its network, and has already confirmed that the smartphone will be released as soon as June 28, priced at $549.99 (€416), contract-free.

The mobile phone carrier also confirmed that the new iOS device will be available for purchase on its network on the Beyond Talk plans, which start at $35 (€26) per month.

For this kind of money, users will receive unlimited 3G/4G LTE data and messaging, yet the data transfer speeds will be throttled after you go over 2.5GB each month, SlashGear notes.

The aforementioned price tag was attached to the 16GB flavor of iPhone 5, though they won’t be the only ones that Virgin Mobile will add to its offering.

The 32GB and 64GB versions of the device will be released as well, priced at $649.99 (€492) and $749.99 (€567), respectively. All three models will be available in black and white flavors, and won’t require the signing of a lengthy contract agreement with the wireless carrier.

Virgin Mobile also touts the iPhone 5 as set to arrive on shelves with support for its LTE network, as well as with dual-band Wi-Fi connectivity, and with the iSight camera capable of offering a great imaging experience to all users.

The phone’s battery will deliver up to 8 hours of talk time, and the powerful A6 chip packed inside will offer increased performance capabilities, while the wide range of applications available for download can deliver a customized, always connected mobile experience.

At the moment, iPhone 5 runs under iOS 6, though it should receive an upgrade to the newer iOS 7 platform later this year. Apple has already unveiled the new operating system version, but hasn’t offered a specific release data for it as of now.

Users interested in learning more on the handset should head over to the wireless carrier’s website.
