According to the latest news on the Internet, wireless carrier Virgin Mobile Canada is getting ready to release onto its airwaves a new mobile phone, the Samsung Vice, which already surfaced on the company's site, meaning that the release is imminent, though there are no further details on its availability.

It seems that the new launch comes shortly after the introduction of the Samsung Vice in Bell's offering, and it is the result of the company’s acquisition of Virgin Canada. The carrier is reported to have accelerated the release of new devices, and the launch of the BlackBerry Pearl Flip shortly after Bell is an event that proves the fact that Samsung Vice should also land on its airwaves in the near future.

Unfortunately, there are no official details on the launch at the moment, nor on the price tag the handset might feature with Virgin Mobile, though it might be similar to Bell's offering. As many of you might already know, the company had the mobile phone at $49.95 on a 3-year contract agreement, and is now selling it for $19.95 under the same conditions.

What the device can offer customers includes a full sliding QWERTY keyboard, which is meant to offer easy texting and messaging, a 2-megapixel photo snapper, a 2.2-inch display that supports 265K colors, a 3.5mm headset jack, Bluetooth 2.0 with A2DP and speakerphone, as well as a microSD memory card slot that supports up to 8GB of additional storage space.

The feature list of Samsung Vice includes MP3 player, radio, GPS, social networking sites connectivity, support for Windows Live and HTML web browser, as well as a wide range of other tools and applications.
