It looks like Virgin Mobile USA and ZTE teamed up to offer carrier’s customers several new affordable Android smartphones, the Venture and Chaser.

According to the guys over at Pocketnow, the smartphones resemble the ZTE Style Q and ZTE X500, but comes with slightly different design.

For example, the Venture looks pretty much like the Style Q, but features one more touch-sensitive button, in comparison with the latter that comes with three capacitive keys.

The specs sheet is almost similar as well, and includes a 2.8-inch QVGA capacitive touchscreen display, a 3.2-megapixel camera, a full QWERTY keyboard and HSDPA support.

Obviously, the Venture is a low-end device, so expect it to be equipped with a 600 MHz processor and 512 MB of RAM. There’s also a microSD card slot for memory expansion (up to 32GB), as well as a free 2GB memory card in the sales package.

Unfortunately, details on the Chaser specs configuration are scarce for the moment, but it’s likely to have similar specs, apart from the full portrait QWERTY keyboard.

The Chaser is expected to arrive with a larger 3.5-inch HVGA capacitive touchscreen display, a 3.2-megapixel camera, as well as Wi-Fi and Bluetooth support.

The phone should be powered by a 600 MHz processor along with 512 MB of RAM. A microSD card slot will enable owners to expand storage up to 32GB.

It is also worth mentioning that the smartphones are expected to run Google’s Android 2.3 Gingerbread operating system. In addition, both devices will offer users quick access to more than 300,000 apps via Android Market, allowing for further customization.

No word on the phones’ pricing options and release dates, but, hopefully, we will learn more about Virgin Mobile’s Venture and Chaser smartphones within the next few days. Stay tuned for more updates on the matter.
