Today, wireless carrier Virgin Mobile announced the introduction of payLo by Virgin Mobile, a new extension to Sprint’s powerhouse prepaid portfolio. According to the company, the new payLo by Virgin Mobile option is meant to deliver to users a 400-minute plan for only $20 a month. In other words, the new option offers users the possibility to benefit from one of the best prepaid wireless options, which includes minutes for as low as 5 cents.

Users interested in enjoying the new sub-brand from Virgin Mobile can head over to the carrier's website for that. According to the company, the option is set to become available via a wide range of retail locations as well, including RadioShack and Best Buy. The new payLo by Virgin Mobile option does not require for a long-term contract, nor does it need activation or termination fees.

“payLo is perfect for low-usage wireless consumers who primarily use voice to stay connected and are looking to keep their wireless spending to roughly $20 or less per month,” said Neil Lindsay, chief marketing officer, Virgin Mobile USA. “Pay-as-you-go has been the bread and butter of Virgin Mobile’s base and growth. With the recent introduction of Virgin Mobile’s new Beyond Talk monthly plans for data-centric wireless consumers, we wanted to continue to serve these voice-focused customers the best we can with pay-by-the-minute offers. It’s the perfect complement to our multibrand strategy.”

payLo by Virgin Mobile is easy to use, as it packs customer-friendly plans. The 400-Minute Plan offers users the possibility to enjoy minutes at only 5 cents each, all available for $20 for one month. Customers who use their handsets less frequently can opt for another offering in the carrier's portfolio. They can add a second option for $20 and have the account active for 90 days, while benefiting from a monthly cost that is as low as $7.

“payLo by Virgin Mobile offers handsets with the most basic functions consumers need – voice mail, text messaging and caller ID. The easy-to-use, affordable and stylish units include the LG101 priced at just $19.99 and the Samsung M340 at $39.99 (prices exclude taxes),” the wireless carrier added. With this option, users can also activate additional minutes or add money to their account with a $20 Top-Up card and a $10 Top-Up card.
