Dita Von Teese and Sir Richard Branson celebrate 10 years of flying London – Las Vegas with Virgin Atlantic

Dita Von Teese can sell absolutely anything, from alcoholic beverages to books and luxury lingerie, and the figures speak for themselves. For the 10th anniversary of flights from and to London and Las Vegas, Teese wing walked and posed for pictures with Sir Richard Branson, after being immortalized on the side of a plane, the Daily Mail says.

Events of this type are a tradition with the company, with Sir Branson last picking up a gorgeous model to walk with her on the wing of a plane when the company turned 25. Back then, it was British model Kate Moss who was painted on the side of the plane. The other day, it was burlesque dancer and former wife of shock rocker Marilyn Manson that walked the wing of the plane – and she even managed to do so without removing her precious red Louboutins.

“Looking the part clearly wins hands down over healthy and safety every time for Dita Von Teese. The burlesque star refused to remove her sky high Louboutin heels as ‘wing walked’ a Virgin Atlantic Airways aircraft yesterday. Dita, 37, posed with the airline’s boss Sir Richard Branson to celebrate the British firm’s 10th anniversary of flying non-stop between London and Las Vegas. Of course she managed to keep her feet on the ground, in a sense, as the 747-400 aircraft was not actually in flight as she posed on top of it,” the Mail writes.

“Dita, the former wife of rock star Marilyn Manson, has even been immortalized as a flying lady, painted on the side of the plane. For the photocall, at McCarran International Airport in Las Vegas, she dressed as a Vegas showgirl in a red corset-style ensemble, fishnets and, of course, her vertiginous red heels. She completed her look with a Union Jack flag draped over her as a delighted Sir Richard, 59, larked around with her, picking her up and even hoisting her on to his shoulders,” the tab further writes.

After the ceremony, Dita took to her Twitter to speak of how proud she was of managing to make it through the entire event without taking off her Louboutins or changing into something more comfortable. Also then, she said she was happy the first time she walked on the wing of a plane was for such a happy event.
