14 DAY TRIAL // The epic splits video has many spoofs on the internet, just as proof of how much of an awesome video it was and its potential of being turned into a meme, but this time, someone finally did the word “epic” justice.
In a new video that's making the rounds on social media networks, the lovable Van Damme, also known as The Muscles from Brussels, goes to outer space to perform his signature move. This time, he won't be hanging off of two trucks, trees, counter tops, chairs or chains.
No, this time he's gonna do it “Gravity” style, balancing between two satellites, just because he's so awesome. Looking carefully, we see that the face of the actor, visible through his space suit, is just a computer image generated in 3D, but it's still a funny spoof, probably better than the Chuck Norris epic split.
The next level would be to have Van Damme make his splits between two Moons of outer Jupiter, or maybe have him hanging off of the Two Towers in “Lord of the Rings.” So if there are some 3D animators out there reading this, maybe you can make this happen.
Until then, enjoy Van Damme posing in a space split, while the video fades to “One split for man, one giant leap for mankind.”
