“Gravity” came out last weekend and set a new record for biggest October opener of all times in US theaters but, just in case you were wondering how it could have played out differently, you should totally check out the trailer above.

“Gravity,” from director Alfonso Cuaron, isn’t focused at all on a love story, because it’s too careful to portray the fight for survival. The faux trailer above shows how it could have been as a typical Hollywood rom-com.

Courtesy of the guys at Film School Rejects, the trailer is edited and voiced in such a way as to show the familiar narrative of two people who hate each other, stranded with no contact with the outside world, who eventually discover that the reason they hate each other so passionately is because they’re actually in love.

It’s pretty hilarious but you don’t have to take my word for it. Enjoy!

A full “Gravity” review is also available, in case you want to get more info on the other story, which has zero romance in it.
