Supercut highlights some of the most critically acclaimed releases

This being December and all, you probably know already to expect dozens of Best and Worst of lists and videos. The one above falls in the former category and aims to present the 25 Best Films of 2013.

It was put together by David Ehrlich and, while you’re well within your rights (naturally) to disagree with his choices, the video could at least serve in helping you see what you missed this year and perhaps make up for lost time.

I won’t spoil which film ended up on first place because, really, the video is edited so wonderfully and organically that it’s a pleasure to watch.

If anything, this Best of video serves to show the many ways in which the art of cinematography can manifest itself: sublime, ridiculous and weird, funny, heartbreakingly sad, and visually stunning. Art is all about emotion and this is precisely what this video captures perfectly, even if you disagree with the entries listed here.

Enjoy!
