Vladimir Putin gives speechless speech, still gets a standing ovation in hilarious video

Even when he says nothing during public speeches, Russian President Vladimir Putin still gets a standing ovation and the respect of his fellow politicians. At least, that’s the conclusion you get from watching the video below, today’s suggestion for Viral of the Day.

Sound engineer Mario Wienerroither has been getting a lot of attention online in recent months, mostly because of his musicless music videos. He’s already done David Bowie and Mick Jagger’s “Dancing in the Street” and Britney Spears’ “Oops!... I Did It Again,” and reactions to them have been very positive.

He’s now turning to foreign politics for a change, imagining a speechless speech for the controversial Russian President Vladimir Putin.

Just so you know what to expect from it, there’s a lot of squeaking of shoes and coughing, some yawning and video game playing, but mostly a lot of awkward silence… and no actual speech, as promised.

The description of the video stresses that it serves purely for comedic purposes and is not meant to cause any kind of controversy online. So the sound engineer asks his commenters to keep their cool in talking about his latest video, which they have been able to do, so far.

Seeing how funny the video is, no wonder.
