14 DAY TRIAL // Let me just preface this by saying that I find Sir Patrick Stewart an amazing human being. At Comicpalooza just recently, he was asked by a young female fan about what he considered the most important thing in his life besides acting.
What followed next was too touching to put into words, so it’s best seen in the video above.
Stewart explained that his work with two charities in particular was most dear to him because it helped him help others who, like himself, might be exposed to domestic violence.
The girl who asked the question had also been a victim of violence so the actor’s passionate response left her in a bad need for a hug. And she got it no less.
“Sir Patrick didn’t even hesitate, he smiled, hopped off the stage and came over to embrace me in a hug. Which he held me there for a long while. He told me ‘You never have to go through that again, you’re safe now.’ I couldn’t stop thanking him,” the girl writes on her blog.
“His embrace was so warm and genuine. It was two people, two strangers, supporting and giving love. And when we pulled away he looked straight in my eyes, like he was promising that. He told me to take care. And I will,” she adds.
