Hungarian singer Boggie blasts the current Photoshop trend in her newest video "Nouveau Parfum"

The artist is a Hungarian singer and songwriter called Boggie and she decided to tackle the very thorny yet very present trend of Photoshopping celebrities in order to conform with today's beauty standards.

Her video for “Nouveau Parfum” shows the artist in the studio being gradually “photoshopped” into a more socially-acceptable version right before our eyes. As Boggie performs her song, brushes, mouse pointers and clone stamps retrace the features of her face, change the color of her eyes, the shape of her neck and remove any skin blemishes.

Skin tone, hair color, lips, eyes, nose, wrinkles, nothing escapes the ever scrutinous eye of some an unseen producer or director. Meanwhile, the songstress says “Je ne suis pas leur produit” which translates into “I am not their product.”

Airbrushing photos is still a very controversial issue in the fashion industry today. While some agree wholeheartedly with keeping appearances in order to sell products, others decry the current state of affairs as leading our youth to impossible standards which thus ruins their expectations in life.

The controversy continues. What's your opinion?
