Singer who got her start on YouTube says she doesn’t regret her first “single”

About two and a half years ago, the Internet was having a major blast with Rebecca Black’s first “single,” “Friday,” which turned out to be the first in a long series of idiotic music releases to go viral. I use the term “music” very loosely here.

The video above was made for Black Friday by Rebecca herself but it’s just now gone viral. She figured there’s no better way to spend Black Friday than by having her, Rebecca Black, react to “Friday.”

“This could either be the best decision of my life or the worst. I thought it was completely fitting... that it would go back and watch ‘Friday’ again and just give a few comments,” she says.

Sadly, her comments are not what I expected. Instead, she focuses on her bad hair back in the day, she giggles a lot at the recollection that she had a pimple on her cheek on the day of the shoot and reveals that, yes, that was her actual family shown at the beginning of the video. Definitely, it’s nothing to write home to mom about.

However, at the end, Rebecca does make it better, by saying that, while even she knows now just how horrible “Friday” was, she could never bring herself to regret it because it’s open doors for her she would not have been able to open for herself otherwise.

Still, she never managed to top the success of “Friday.”
