Superman, Harry Potter, and “Jurassic Park” come to life on the football field

Precisely one week ago, the Ohio State University Marching Band made headlines for a viral video shot during the halftime, with their tribute to the late King of Pop Michael Jackson, recreating his famous dance moves and beats. Today brings more confirmation of their awesomeness.

They don’t call themselves the “Best Damn Band in the Land” for nothing, I’ll tell you this much.

For their latest feat, the band did a Hollywood tribute that included such blockbusters as “Superman,” “Harry Potter,” and “Jurassic Park.” They recreated imagery from these but also music samples.

I particularly loved how they blended the old “Superman” theme with Hans Zimmer’s “An Ideal of Hope.”

The latter kicked off as a building was collapsing and Superman flew out of a phone booth to catch it. He had a cape on and everything, and it looked even more awesome than it sounds in writing, trust me.

Enjoy!
