14 DAY TRIAL // So Disney released the second trailer for its highly anticipated Christmas release “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” the other day, and it came as such a pleasant surprise to fans of the iconic franchise that they’re still talking and raving about it.
Perhaps the most noteworthy aspect about the new trailer is the emphasis on the bond this installment will share with the previous one, made possible through various references to these, and the inclusion of Han Solo and Chewie. They’re finally home, you guys!
On a more serious note, the trailer confirmed to fans of the franchise that the seventh episode would be worth waiting for and that they would finally get the continuation of the saga that they deserve.
Some of them were even moved to tears by it. Matthew McConaughey was among them, as today’s Viral of the Day shows.
User Oskar Arnarson did a mash-up of footage from “Interstellar,” McConaughey’s most recent movie, and the newest trailer for “Star Wars” and came up with the perfect reaction shot that many diehard fans can relate to.
In “Interstellar,” Matthew is actually going from ecstatic to crying at the sight and sound of his son, whom he left back on Earth as he departed on a mission to save the planet. Here, he is just giddy and emotional like any other true “Star Wars” fan having a serious case of the feels because of the new trailer.
