“Brad Pitt zombie movie” is a waste of perfectly good source material, video says

I imagine Screen Junkies’ Honest Trailer series is every movie buff’s favorite treat, even if there are times when it’s hard to agree with what’s being said in the videos. On this note, I dare you to disagree with the latest, for “World War Z.”

Though I found the film a thoroughly enjoyable experience, I do agree that this was mostly because I expected it to be horrible in every sense of the way, after what I’d been reading online about it.

Brad Pitt himself, who starred in and produced it, branded it a “nightmare” to carry through.

So this Honest Trailer is right on the money with this. The same goes for the fact that the narrative feels disjointed, that it’s packed with clichés and that, in the end, making the film was a waste of perfectly good source material.

Points to Screen Junkies for mentioning the “Inception”-style “Bwaaah!” / music for some of the most dramatic scenes.

This said, do enjoy.
