Yet “another perfectly adequate Marvel movie” but also a “celebration of male form”

The team from Screen Junkies is back again with yet another hilarious and oh-so-true Honest Trailer. By popular demand, it’s for “Thor: The Dark World,” the second installment in Marvel’s “Thor” franchise, which is engulfed by “The Avengers” juggernaut.

In the new video, as fans have come to expect, Screen Junkies lists the many sins of the movie, which feels like a release that only severs to keep viewers entertained until “The Avengers 2” comes out.

It is “another perfectly adequate Marvel movie” for us to pass the time with until 2015, while also being “another post-‘Avengers’ movie full of references to ‘The Avengers’ but no actual Avengers.” Loki doesn’t get a pass, though he’s less harshly criticized than Thor.

“When he's not battling yet another forgettable bad guy, watch as the mighty Thor mopes around Asgard in a snuggy because he's still hung up on a girl he spent one long weekend with and hasn't called in two years,” the narrator says.

On the bright side, “Age of Darkness” is a “celebration of male form, in all its glory” because it includes a couple of scenes in which Thor’s body gets center stage – and not just his, by the way.

Of course, no one would expect a superhero movie to be deemed perfect by the entire world so, while many of the things said about it are totally on point, that doesn’t mean that the flick wasn’t a truly enjoyable experience. If you want to read more on that, here is a “Thor: The Dark World” review.
