14 DAY TRIAL // Ladies and gentlemen, we have a new Internet star. The guy who, just days ago, made headlines for covering “I Dreamed a Dream” from “Les Miserables” in the most awesome Gollum voice ever, is back.
Check him out above, singing “Mad World,” the theme song from “Donnie Darko.”
This time, though, it’s Smeagol who’s singing so, just so you know, expect lots of raw emotion and suffering.
As with the “Les Mis” song, this one too is adapted to best bring to life our hero’s story. Yes, the pain of losing Precious is still very much there.
Perhaps the best part of the video, besides the guy in the back pretending to play the keyboard, is how expressive “Gollum” is as well: he doesn’t just sing, he also acts with his face to such an extent that I can swear I saw a tear forming in one eye at one point.
