With season 4 over, fans prepare for a very long wait with all kinds of fun stuff

Did you know that “Game of Thrones,” officially the biggest hit to come out of HBO, would have been just as awesome an experience if you had to watch it on VHS back in the ‘80s? It’s a fact and it’s now been proven beyond a doubt. Or, as they’d say in “GoT,” it is known!

Today’s Viral of the Day comes courtesy of fans who are still having a hard time accepting that, with season 4 over, they’re in for a very long wait because season 5 doesn’t arrive until April 2015. So what are fans to do but entertain themselves in the most spectacular manner?

“VHS Intro” features a very retro, very ‘80s-sound score that emerged online a couple of days ago, and it’s the perfect thing to get you feeling all nostalgic, especially if you’re older than 25 or have a thorough knowledge of television projects from back then.

You will find it embedded below. I’m guessing Ned Stark would die in this version too because there’s no way Sean Bean could have been spared his life even back in the ‘80s.

In other “GoT”-related news, Michelle Fairley revealed yesterday that fans should probably brace themselves for the possibility that they might never see the character of Lady Stoneheart (a glimpse of which they expected to get on the season 4 finale), neither in season 5 nor ever.

Here’s the video to help you overcome the shock of this sad piece of news.
