Only one can survive this epic confrontation: Bruce Willis

Fan-made trailers are always fun, especially if they’re done with skill and consideration for the material used, which is to say, if they’re a labor of love. At the same time, fan-made trailers are also the best indicator for the kind of films Hollywood could offer because they hint at what fans would like to see next on the big screen.

Here’s to hoping that anyone in the industry thinking of rebooting the “Alien” or “Predator” franchises, or of making another “AVP” film, even though the first two were a disappointment for many, is reading this.

Today’s suggestion for Viral of the Day is a faux trailer for a film called “Die Hard: Aliens VS Predator,” which would see two of the deadliest alien creatures ever to live on the big screen come up against a human rival worthy of their time – and with potential to send them crying back to their mamas.

Yes, that rival is none other than NYPD officer John McClane, played by Bruce Willis in the film franchise that started with the 1988 blockbuster of the same name.

Even the name suggested, “Die Hard: Aliens VS Predator,” is much better than the one the last McClane installment got, with the 2013 “A Good Day to Die Hard.”

All credits go to YouTube user ChiefBrodyRules, who made this video as a Christmas present for the collective fans of the 3 franchises. “I challenged myself to use old trailer music and Die Hard 1-3. No ode to joy because every Die Hard fan made trailer has it,” he says.

For this trailer, he used footage from “Die Hard” 1, 2 and 3, “Alien VS Predator” and “Aliens VS Predator: Requiem” and “Predator 2.” The only thing missing is one “Yippee ki-yay, mother[expletive]-er!” Check it out.
