Film comes out a year from now, is shrouded in complete secrecy

One of the reasons Chris Nolan is admired and respected by his peers and fans alike is that he never talks about his projects until they’re almost complete, and he’s forced to do promo work as part of his contract. “Interstellar,” his latest project, is just as shrouded in secrecy as any other he ever made.

This means two things, the first being that it sucks for us fans, because we only have the IMDB plot synopsis to go by – and it’s hardly what I would call “revealing.”

“A group of explorers make use of a newly discovered wormhole to surpass the limitations on human space travel and conquer the vast distances involved in an interstellar voyage,” it says.

Nolan’s penchant for secrecy also means that, with little to go by, we can imagine all sorts of directions the film would take. This is the idea behind the fan-made video embedded above, the creation of Dogan Can Gundogdu.

He used scenes from various other movies like “The Lincoln Lawyer,” “Killer Joe,” “Zero Dark Thirty,” “Last Days on Mars,” “Contact,” “Fringe”, “The Tree of Life,” “One Day,” “The Paperboy,” and “Gravity,” to offer fans his own take on how “Interstellar” might play out. And he did it in a very convincing manner, as I’m sure you’ll agree.

“Interstellar” stars Matthew McConaughey, Anne Hathaway, Jessica Chastain, Michael Caine, Matt Damon, Wes Bentley, Casey Affleck, Topher Grace, John Litgow, and Ellen Burstyn, and will be out in theaters in November 2014.
