In April this year, Dove scored a huge hit when the ad Beauty Sketches, part of the Real Beauty campaign, went viral. The video above will probably enjoy similar success, even though it’s not as emotional as that one.

Called Camera Shy, it’s a new ad from the same campaign, highlighting women’s tendency to avoid the camera if they feel they don’t have their game face on.

Oppositely, the women shown in this video were never camera shy when they were just little kids, hence the question, “when did you stop thinking you were beautiful?”

The answer should be “never.”

The purpose of the ad is obviously to tell women that they’re beautiful at all times, be it when they wake up in the morning, when they return home from work tired or when they’re at their casual best, reading a book on the sofa – makeup or no makeup.
