The sky is the limit if you work hard enough and have the proper support system: this seems to be the lesson here, with Musharaf Asghar, nicknamed “Mushy,” a 16-year-old boy from the Thornhill Community Academy.

Mushy has been struggling with a difficult stammer since he was very little and, throughout the years, it’s turned him into a victim of bullying.

Teacher Matthew Burton found the solution to the problem in the Oscar-winning film “King’s Speech” and used the same method to help Mushy have enough confidence to speak in public. The video above is of the speech he held in front of the class: like in the movie, he’s listening to music in the headphones, which is helping him stammer less.

The moment had everyone in tears, from teachers to fellow students, all of whom gave him a standing ovation at the end, and was captured on camera for the TV series “Educating Yorkshire.” It’s enough to make even the bleakest day feel a bit sunnier, trust me.

“I still won’t be applying for any call-center jobs yet though,” Mushy joked in his speech.
