14 DAY TRIAL // Benedict Cumberbatch is now in the US to do press for “The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug” and, on an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel, he just did the most amazing thing ever: a dramatic reading of the words of one of R. Kelly’s most recent songs.
The song is called “Genius” and is lifted off the album “Black Panties,” but really, if you know anything of R. Kelly’s music, you already know what to expect from the video above.
Still, hearing Benedict use his velvety voice to try and make the lyrics sound more dramatic borders on insane, as also does that final line, “imma hit that thing again,” said in almost a whisper, as he looks seductively over the shoulder.
It’s no wonder female members of the audience can hardly stop screaming during the reading, to allow Benedict to say his lines.
