Benedict Cumberbatch is considered one of the strongest Oscar contenders for the 2015 edition thanks to his latest film, “The Imitation Game,” in which he plays English mathematician and logician Alan Turing. To promote it, The ‘Batch brought to the table his best celebrity impressions.

In the very small group of celebrities doing celebrity impressions, Benedict is not a newcomer. In fact, if you’ve been following his career, you probably know that he does a mean Alan Rickman and that he’s been doing it for years.

This is, if you will, his parlor trick when the conversation takes on a lighter tone.

Well, that was certainly the case when he sat down with Josh Horowitz from MTV: at Josh’s suggestion, Benedict got 60 seconds on the clock to deliver impressions on celebrities he read from a list.

Those were, in this exact order, John Malkovich, Alan Rickman (of course!), Sean Connery, Jack Nicholson, his good friend Tom Hiddleston, Owen Wilson, Michael Caine, Christopher Walken, Batman villain Bane, Matthew McConaughey, and Taylor Swift.

Cumberbatch did his best to keep it real by having all these characters he did say basically the same thing: inviting people to go see his movie in theaters.

As for the actual impressions, I will say this: his Michael Caine is inferior to Kevin Spacey’s, but his Alan Rickman is, as always, on-spot. At the same time, his Taylor Swift impression must be the funniest ever!

Check it out.
