New “product” will make you perfect – so you don't have to lift a finger

It's a well known fact that today's images are retouched in Photoshop, some more than others. As our standards of beauty reach unbelievable heights, here's something to remind you just how flimsy the foundation they sit on is.

Filmmaker Jesse Rosten took the diktat that every woman (be her actress or model) will need to have her imaged Photoshopped before it's printed, and has turned into a deliciously biting faux commercial.

The product advertised is Fotoshop by Adobé (pronounced “A-do-bey!”), promising you the body you probably never wanted – but that you should have simply because society says so.

“This commercial isn't real, neither are society's standards of beauty,” says the tagline of the video.

Indeed, truer words haven't been spoken in a while.

Since release, the video has generated a massive response from the online community, thus showing Rosten isn't alone in thinking that pressure from the industry is too much. Perhaps there is hope still.

Check it out.
