14 DAY TRIAL // As we’ve already seen in the final Chris Nolan Batman film, “The Dark Knight Rises,” the Caped Crusader can do a lot of things if he puts his mind to it. As it turns out, he can also help US soldiers and civilians stay safe in Afghanistan.
Meet Bagram Batman.
He’s the brainchild of the US Army and AFN Afghanistan, and he’s the star of a new series of PSAs highlighting the need to take all precautions to stay safe.
Three of these PSAs are also embedded in this blog post.
Bagram Batman also has a Twitter account and a Facebook page, where he describes himself as the same hero fans got to know and love in the comic books and on the big screen, now on a nobler mission.
“Bagram Batman may not be the hero the men and women of Afghanistan need.... But it’s the one they get. Veiled under a cloak of valor, Bagram Batman battles idiocracy, mediocrity, complacency and poor table manners!” the description reads.
A dose of humor is always best when in difficult times.
