Movie trailers are (in)famously misleading, to the point where moviegoers have been known to walk out of a production they expected to be different based on the trailer. Another golden rule is that movie trailers (almost) never reveal the third act, and are conceived in such a way as to be viewed somewhat separately from the finished product.

This is why you shouldn’t trust all the things you’ve seen in footage for the insanely anticipated “Avengers: Age of Ultron,” out in theaters on May 1. Marvel may be looking to deliberately trick you into believing something else from what they will be showing you on screen, because the purpose is to get you into theaters - not get you there with true promises.

YouTube user Johnny B2K took the time to put all trailers from “Ultron” together and then re-edit them so as to follow what he assumed was the chronological order of events.

The result is interesting and telling in its own right, because it confirms the above: trailers are misleading, missing huge pieces of the puzzle.

Still, the resulting video is a good way to pass the time until we get the final trailer, or even better, until the movie comes out. The audio is a bit hiccupy at times and the tension isn’t as gripping as in the Marvel-approved previews, but this is still a decent way to get hyped about Marvel’s new film.

So here it is, enjoy!
