Andrew Johnson mistakenly assumes the word means “chat”

These things can happen on a daily basis but it's not everyday that we see them on TV as well, especially during the weather forecast. We have to thank the CTV anchorman for that.

During a news transmission last week, anchorman Andrew Johnson suggested a pre-weather canoodling session to his colleague Astrid Braunschmidt. He'd just heard the word and thought it sounded funny enough for him to use it too.

The seconds it takes Johnson to realize that canoodle doesn't mean “chat” as he erroneously assumed are priceless but, at the same time, incredibly awkward.

Astrid is not amused at first.
