Aaron Sorkin has created unforgettable characters in his scripts for television series and feature films but, if we were to round up some of the things he’s most famous for, we’d say: walk-and-talk scenes, sexual politics and moral dilemmas.

Nowhere are these more commonly used than in the hit series “The Newsroom.” The video below, a parody by Amy Schumer for the Comedy Central segment Inside Amy Schumer, takes all three to a different level: a fast food restaurant.

Josh Charles (“The Good Wife”) and Schumer work together in the same fast food joint and, though you might think this is a relatively easy job, it’s not. J.J. MacAhoy (Charles) is the manager, while Schumer’s character is not so much career-oriented as she’s focused on getting him to accept that he wants to be with her.

In other words, like in Sorkin’s work, women are secondary characters at best and whatever achievements they have, they have because they needed to get closer to a man. Man is of the center of the universe, and women are his satellites.

The Comedy Central video also includes an inspirational, patriotic speech set to uplifting music – again, just like in Sorkin’s many scripts. Enjoy!
