A new viral video would have us believe that, when his computer froze and refused to get back to work on its own, a man tried to use a hair dryer to perform some much-needed CPR and convince the darn machine to recover from whatever was plaguing it.

The video made it online just a few days ago. It has since been shared on several social networking sites and viewed millions of times. Fret not, you won't have to search long and hard to find it, as the footage in question is available below. Otherwise put, just scroll down and be entertained.

The story behind this latest viral video

The now insanely popular footage was first uploaded on Snapchat by a 23-year-old named Jeremy Hernandez about a week ago. In the video's description, Jeremy Hernandez explains that the elderly man featured in it is none other than his grandfather.

According to the 23-year-old, it was he that gave the old man the idea to try and fix his broken computer by pointing a hair dryer at it simply after telling him that the machine was frozen and that this was the reason it was refusing to obey any of his commands.

Needless to say, Jeremy Hernandez didn't mean that the computer had actual blocks of ice attached to it when he told his grandfather that the machine was frozen. On the contrary, the 23-year-old merely wanted to point out that, for some reason, the computer was blocked.

As it turns out, his grandfather took his words to the letter, hence his decision to take matters into his own hands and, rather than ask his grandson or a trained computer doctor for help, try and fix the machine himself by warming it with the help of a hair dryer.

Some say the video is a fake

Admittedly, elderly people don't know all that much about computers, let alone the latest gadgets or gizmos. Still, there are plenty of folks who are having serious trouble believing that anyone would ever try to fix a broken computer by pointing a hair dryer at it.

Thus, it's been argued that this video is probably a fake and that 23-year-old Jeremy Hernandez, whoever he might be, likely made up the entire affair hoping to land himself those 15 minutes of fame many can only dream of. If this is indeed what happened, his grandfather must have been in on it.
