Apparently, if you're a true fan, the thing to do when a new trailer comes out is to watch it in full HD, frame by frame – and you will find the first hints of a viral campaign.

The same goes for “The Amazing Spider-Man,” for which a new trailer was released yesterday.

Collider was the first to make this discovery though, to be completely fair, it doesn't know yet what to make of it.

Towards the end of the trailer (see it below), there's a text embedded in the frame: it reads “The mark of Spider-Man.”

If you go online to MarkOfSpider-Man.com, you will find Spidey's brand new logo, together with six squares of static.

None of them appears to be clickable, so this could mean we're to keep an eye on the website until one of the squares becomes an image – or a feed of some sort, offering more details about the film.

If you're not into this viral campaign stuff, know that “The Amazing Spider-Man” will be out in theaters, in 3D, in April 2012.
