Politicians are already looking to limit their sales

Dianne Feinstein, a Democratic United States Senator, suggests that violent video games can serve as simulators that allow those inclined towards crime to try out their actions before acting in the real world.

Gamespot quotes the politician as saying, “I think the really violent video game becomes a kind of simulator to practice on.”

She adds, “And it enables the individual to become much more familiar with that depiction of death and blood.”

The Democratic Senator believes that Congress should take action and regulate video games because they are currently playing a negative role in the lives of American youngsters.

After the Sandy Hook shooting in late 2012 a number of politicians have commented on the supposed link between violence in video games and the real world.

President Barack Obama has authorized the Center for Disease Control to do more research on the issue.
