Vinnie Jones’s Russian Lover Says Affair Has Been Going On for a Year

Actor Vinnie Jones is the latest celebrity to find himself entangled in a cheating scandal, after footage has emerged online of him passionately kissing Russian singer Lama Safonova on the streets in Moscow. Turns out it was more than a one night stand.

Safonova, who is a singer, has reportedly been telling people that she and Vinnie go back for at least a year, The Sun reports. 

In other words, the actor, who has been married for 18 years, has been cheating on his wife for far longer than it was initially believed.

“If you’re waiting for me to betray my sweetheart or hurt him, it won’t happen. There is no need to make a scandal of our relations,” Lama is quoted as saying.

All this time, Vinnie has been telling the press and his wife that he’s been set up by Lama and her boyfriend, because nothing really happened between them the night the video below was shot.

“I am humiliated, embarrassed and very sorry for this incident. It was a complete set-up, the whole thing,” Jones says.

“I totally love my wife Tanya and my two children. I am very sorry and my only concern right now is them,” he adds.

“Her boyfriend was the interpreter so it's just a joke. I've seen [the pictures] I know what they look like. I met her for 15 minutes, just went for a drink at the party and that was it,” Jones explains.

He adds that he got in a cab and then drove to his hotel together because she was lodged there too, and her boyfriend was waiting for them there. Anything is else is just a lie, the star insists.

No word yet on how he will explain the other allegations that are now being made against him: The Sun also writes that Lama isn’t the only girl he’s been putting his charms on while in Russia shooting for a documentary.

A photo shows him and Alisa Krylova, a former Miss Russia walking out of a hotel arm in arm, and the tab leaves no room for doubt as to what their relationship might be.
