Recently, numerous reports and studies have been claiming tablets are the most desired tech gift by kids these holiday season. So parents, we have a new option for you to look into this Christmas.

Here comes the Vinci MV 7, a slate aimed at children and families alike, that sports an adaptable 7-inch frame. Being a child friendly device, the slate features an interface capable of filtering out violent and adult content.

Apart from that, the MV 7 doesn't ship with any additional commercials, so it offers a clean and easily maneuverable environment in which children can both learn and play.

The tablet’s 7-inch screen features a resolution of 1024 x 600 pixels, enough for video streaming and running apps. Power is drawn from an MTK 6755 SoC coupled with 1GB of RAM and integrated GPU.

The slate has 3G connectivity that supports the WCDMA + 1 GSM networks, Wi-Fi and GPS. The operating system is a little outdated, with Android 4.1 running out of the box.

A leather case, travel charge and earphones with mic are provided to customers acquiring the Vinci MV 7. Priced at $199.99 / €146, the tablet will prove difficult to sell since competitors like the Kindle Fire slates offer better specs at a similar price.
