Actor Vin Diesel says that he managed to reunite most of the developers who worked on the first two Riddick video games in order to create a third experience, which is presumably linked to the recently launched movie starring the same character.

The Official Xbox Magazine quotes him as saying that, "There’s this huge concept which is more of a MMO game that would be centered around people being able to play mercs and it’s basically the merc trade."

The former Starbreeze team in Sweden is involved with the title and Diesel says that video games are a good way of revealing more of the nature of the Riddick universe without spending money on risky movies.

It's not clear on which platforms the new title might be launched or when the experience will be available for fans.

Both Riddick video games were well received, mainly because of their unique take on combat.
