Unveiled earlier this year during the Computex trade fair, in Taipei, ViewSonic's 7-inch tablet ViewPad 7x will be showcased at IFA 2011 starting in early September.

This is allegedly the first 7-inch tablet to be released with Android 3.2 Honeycomb on board and the manufacturer has just announced that the device will cost $500.

However, it appears that Acer Iconia Tab A100 with Honeycomb 3.2 on board is already available for purchase in United States, but it will make its debut in Europe only in September.

According to the latest information coming from the manufacturer, the ViewPad 7x will be equipped with a dual-core Nvidia Tegra 2 processor and it should feature a main camera on the back, as well as a front facing camera for video calls.

At only 380g, ViewPad 7x beats other 7-inch tablets, including the Flyer and Galaxy Tab 7, as one of the lightweight on the market.

The tablets high quality capacitive 7-inch multi-touch display supports 1024 x 600 pixels resolution and provides users with a smooth multimedia experience.

Other interesting highlights of the unannounced tablet include DLNA and HDMI support for sharing media with a TV, as well as and SRW TruMedia.

HSPA+ support for faster data transfer speeds has been confirmed as well, along with cloud computing, social networking and streaming multimedia capabilities.

The powerful dual-core processor combined with the tablet's brilliant 7-inch display should provide users with great Internet browsing, as well.

ViewSonic ViewPad 7x tablet will face a fierce competition on the market, as HTC is expected to push the Honeycomb upgrade to its Flyer, while other 7-inch tablets manufacturers might start to release their products once Google makes Honeycomb for smaller screens widely available.

Not to mention that new 7-inch tablets will be announced at this year's IFA trade fair, in Berlin.
