The market of Android-based tablets is expanding with the inclusion of newer' more appealing devices, and ViewSonic is one of the companies set to have a sit in the front row, as it is readying the release of a 10-inch slate that would sport dual boot capabilities. Among the other products the company is readying for the market, we can count another tablet PC, a 7-ionch Android tablet, which is called the ViewPad 7.

It seems that ViewSonic is set to showcase these devices at IFA, and that the Californian manufacturer plans on reviving the ViewPad brand with advanced slates during the ongoing year.

“The ViewPad 7, a 7" Android tablet with 3G and Wi-Fi connectivity, access to thousands of applications and front and back-facing cameras will be previewed for the first time in Europe,” the company reportedly announced.

The new product should prove an interesting addition to the tablet PC market, where it would face competitors like Apple iPad or various Android-based tablets from companies like Dell or Samsung.

“The ViewPad 7 also features assisted GPS, a Micro SD card slot, Bluetooth, G-Sensor and USB connectivity, making the device a compact lightweight companion that has a lot to offer,” the company added, according to a recent article on techradar.

As for the second product, it should come with a 10-inch display, along with dual-boot capabilities, supporting both Microsoft's Windows OS, as well as Google's Android platform.

While there are no specific details on this device, rumor has it that it should put Android next to the Windows 7 platform rather than pairing it with Microsoft's upcoming Windows Phone 7 mobile operating system.

One thing that is certain is that this device might seem even more appealing than the ViewPad 7 slate.

Other companies are already known to plan the release of Android-based tablets, including Motorola, LG, Samsung or Acer, but this would be the first such device to pack dual-boot capabilities.
