In an interesting ebay auction, we’ve just found out that the ViewSonic is preparing a new tablet that will apparently be compatible with popular operating system such as WindowsXP and Windows 7.

The auction presents a 9.7” tablet that sports a standard 1024 by 768 pixel resolution and is powered by Intels N2600 Atom processor.

This is a dual core in-order CPU that runs at 1600 MHz and has a modest 3.5 watts TDP.

HyperThreading technology is enabling the processor to deal with four threads at the same time, but that won’t do it too much good as the performance is abysmal.

The official name reportedly is ViewPad 97i Pro and RAM will measure up to 2 GB while storage will be handled by a 32 GB SSD.

ViewPad 97i Pro’s IPS screen is multi-touch capable while the tablet also comes with a 1.3MP webcam, a micro SD card slot, WirelessN, Bluetooth, two USB 2.0 ports and a mini HDMI connector.

The battery is rated at 4900 mAh and the whole thing weighs in at 990 grams (2.2 pounds).
