Not one to let too much time pass between product releases, ViewSonic has officially introduced some new TAA compliant, VESA mountable monitors.

The last time we wrote about a ViewSonic product launch, the company was at Computex 2012, showing off a 31.5-inch 4K LCD.

The four monitors coming out today are less flashy. The company focused on versatility, power efficiency and trade (TAA) compliance.

The names of the products are VG2239m-TAA, VG2439m-TAA, VA2251m-TAA and VA2451m-TAA.

VA2251m-TAA and VA2451m-TAA form the VA51m-TAA Series and measure 22 inches (21.5 inches) and 24 inches (23.6 inches), respectively.

They use LED backlighting, 10M:1 Dynamic Contrast Ratios (DCRs), the Full HD resolution (1,920 x 1,080 pixels), integrated speakers and multiple video inputs (DVI and VGA).

Also, the response time is of 5ms and the design is mercury-free, as well as TCO and Energy Star-certified. ViewSonic's ECO mode no doubt helped there, with its energy savings of up to 40%.

The other two displays, VG2239m-TAA and VG2439m-TAA, measure 22 (21.5) inches and 24 (23.6) inches, respectively, and form the VG39m-TAA Series.

They have a 20M:1 DCR, Full HD native resolutions and the same matte finish, but better energy savings (50%), enough for EPEAT Gold certification on top of Energy Star and TCO.

What's more, in addition to DVI and VGA, these two have DisplayPort connectors. As for the design, ViewSonic tossed in ergonomic functions, like swivel, tilt, height adjustment and 90-degree pivot.

"We value our customers, and look to provide them with solution choices that fit their individual needs. As a part of this commitment, we felt it was important to bring our display heritage and expertise to the TAA compliant monitor market to help federal governments get onto GSA Schedule Contracts with a display partner they know and trust," stated Erik Willey, LCD monitor and PC product marketing director at ViewSonic.

Sales will begin around the middle of August, for $179 to $295 (142 to 233 Euro). Non-TAA-compliant LED versions will sell as well.
