It can directly stream anything off PCs, smartphones, tablets, laptops, flash drives, etc.

Wireless routers, range extenders and hybrids thereof have a thing for universal compatibility and versatility, but ViewSonic decided to go in the opposite direction when it made the ViewSync WPG-370 gateway.

Rather than provide web/network access to everyone and everything, the product is, instead, meant to allow Windows PCs, Mac systems and iOS/Android smartphones/tablets to directly stream presentations through projectors, monitors, TVs, or large-format display.

After all, while most of the items on the former list have wireless capabilities, the same cannot be said about those in the latter category.

The ViewSonic WPG-370 wireless presentation gateway has HDMI, optical audio interfaces, USB ports (for streaming off flash drives/external HDDs/SSDs), even WiDi support and Miracast.

ViewSonic made this for commercial environments and wants $169 / €125 for every WPG-370 sold.
